how are you doing? very rarely will you hear an American say  How are you doing?  usually they say " How ( Ha') are( ) you (Yoo, Yah, Yuh)  doing  ing-(ing, en, in)  .   So the next time, you are walking down the street, and you see maybe an American, a big American flag.  What you say?  How are you doing?  you may be able to use the next conversation.  How are you doing?  Great.  How are you doing? Not too bad, thanks.  take it easy .
What do you do for a living?  What is your job?  How do you make money? Do you have a job? Where do you work? How do you earn money. These are all the same expression, but this maybe the most common. pronunciation. What do you do for a living? Nobody says that. What de yuh do fer a living. If you meet an American, You might want to ask this question. Like in this dialogue. What do you do for a living? I'm a teacher. Oh, really? What do you teach? I'm a math teacher at Carson College. remember if you really interested in the person. don't to say " I am an engineer. Tell them what kind of engineer. I am a internet programmar.  be  spcific about your job. But you can alway ask " Oh, What kind of your engineer? What kind of teacher?  Keep practising.
